New Storytelling for the Old Soul
Fort Belfry Studios - Philadelphia, PA
The three of us came together because we enjoy each other’s company. And good company often provokes good stories. Based on our shared love of a compelling audio drama, we launched Fort Belfry as a platform for us to scribble on a page, go ham on a sound design, and unfurl a story that you want to send to a friend.
We’ve launched our first series in 2025 - Paint the Corners, an American history podcast using baseball as its pallet.
Reach out to connect with us and share your story. If you’re in Philly, find us laughing at The Vous or being stressed in our seats at Citizens Bank.

Anna Ready
If there is an edgy indie concert at your favorite Philly venue, Anna knows about it because she booked it. She brings her music production and business experience from Rising Sun Presents and University of the Arts to bear in the Fort Belfry halls. She is the one to keep the production crisp in its storytelling and on time. Her editor’s eye hones a performer’s heart. Hailing from Fairfax, Anna struggles to tell her family that she’s an Eagles fan.

JohnPaul Beattie
Having read every Sherlock Holmes book is not the only thing that makes JohnPaul beam with pride. From a long history at University of the Arts to being an audio engineer for the Philadelphia Eagles, JohnPaul has cut his teeth on countless live sound performances around Philly and the region. When you see him stroke his beard and take a breath, you know he just built a new world in his head and you’re about to witness the excitement of a true creative. And yes, he is still proud of his high school band’s rock opera.

Wyatt Schroeder
When Wyatt first fell out of a tree, he didn’t exclaim. He calmly grabbed a notebook and got to the task of writing out the event. When JohnPaul needed lyrics for his high school rock opera, he sequestered Wyatt from his friends until he returned with enough lyrics to fill a CD. During the day, Wyatt works to address affordable housing and homelessness issues through his agency, Hemlock & Forge. And in the evening, he is noodling on a guitar or typing a treatise that Anna will later have to edit down.
